When each platform is a better fit
Dock Optimizer is the better fit when:
- You want dock scheduling, load board, and TMS in one platform
- You need to start free and upgrade when the operation justifies it
- Driver identity verification at the dock matters to you
- You need WMS integration (SphereWMS, etc.) without a separate middleware layer
- You're migrating away from Tailwind TMS and want load history preserved
Tailwind TMS may be the better fit when:
- Your operation depends on a specific Tailwind TMS third-party integration not in Dock Optimizer
- You have a large asset trucking operation with deep Tailwind customization
- Your team has years of Tailwind TMS workflow muscle memory that would be costly to change
