Do carriers need to download an app?

No. The self-serve booking link works in any mobile browser — no download, no account, no password. Recurring carriers who want an account can use the carrier login portal, but it is always optional.

Yes. A carrier's dispatcher might use the portal for planned loads, while the driver uses the self-serve link for a one-off pickup. Both paths feed into the same appointment queue at your facility.

Carrier access is free. Carriers pay nothing to book appointments, create portal accounts, or access their appointment history. Pricing is based on the shipper/warehouse subscription.

For the self-serve link, there is no onboarding — carriers click the link and book. For the carrier portal, carriers create an account in under two minutes. You can optionally require pre-approval before a carrier can access your portal.

Carriers receive email and SMS confirmations at booking, a reminder before their appointment, and a notification if the appointment is changed or cancelled. Portal carriers can manage their notification preferences.
