Carrier verification is not driver verification
Vetting a carrier through its MC number, USDOT number, operating authority, and insurance confirms that the company is real. It does not confirm that the person at your gate is the driver that company sent for this load.
Fictitious pickup lives in that gap. Carrier-vetting platforms, broker checks, insurance checks, and compliance systems each solve a useful company-level problem. They do not replace an identity check at the dock.
Dock Optimizer adds the person to the appointment record. That gives the operator a better question to answer: does the driver identity result match the appointment for the load that is moving now?
How verification works inside Dock Optimizer

- 05Dock Optimizer matches the result against the appointment and surfaces it to your team.
- 06Your team decides what to do. The result supports the decision, it does not make one automatically.
The driver does not need an app or account. This is a barcode scan, not a selfie or a document-photo onboarding flow. It adds a focused check at the moment the freight changes hands.

Already built, ready to turn on
Conmitto is Intellicheck's preferred identity-verification partner across dock scheduling, driver check-in, and yard management. The connector is already built and certified inside Dock Optimizer.
There is no integration project, API work, or engineering sprint on the customer's side. Enabling it is a configuration step done per facility. This is configuration, not code, and no build is required. Customers contract with Intellicheck directly for verification, while Conmitto provides the connector and workflow.
A standalone ID verification tool still has to be wired into scheduling, check-in, and appointment records. Dock Optimizer has that workflow ready to turn on.
What gets recorded
Each check-in creates a record tied to the appointment: which carrier arrived, which driver was checked, which truck and trailer were captured, which load and BOL were involved, and when the event happened.
That linked record gives operations teams useful context for claims, audits, and insurance conversations after the fact. It also gives the operator a clear result to review while the freight is still at the dock.

What is the difference between carrier verification and driver verification?
Carrier verification confirms that the company is real through details such as its MC number, USDOT number, authority, and insurance. Driver verification checks the person at the gate. A real carrier record does not confirm that the person who arrived is the driver booked for the load.
Does the driver need an app?
No. The workflow uses a barcode scan at check-in. The driver does not need to download an app or create an account.

How long does it add to check-in?
It adds a barcode scan step, not a consumer-style onboarding flow. The goal is to add the identity result without asking a driver to download an app or create an account. Conmitto does not promise a fixed activation or processing time.
Does it work if the driver is a substitute or a swap?
The result is matched against the appointment. If a substitute or swap arrives, the identity result gives the operator a clear record to review against the appointment and decide what to do.
What happens when a result comes back unverified?
Dock Optimizer surfaces the result to your team. The operator decides whether to contact the carrier, update the appointment, hold the conversation, or release the load. The system does not make that decision automatically.
Do I need a separate contract with Intellicheck?
Customers contract with Intellicheck directly for verification. Conmitto provides the connector and workflow inside Dock Optimizer. The connector is already built and certified, so enabling it is a configuration step per facility, not a customer-side engineering project.
