    Carrier verification is not driver verification

    Vetting a carrier through its MC number, USDOT number, operating authority, and insurance confirms that the company is real. It does not confirm that the person at your gate is the driver that company sent for this load.

    Fictitious pickup lives in that gap. Carrier-vetting platforms, broker checks, insurance checks, and compliance systems each solve a useful company-level problem. They do not replace an identity check at the dock.

    Dock Optimizer adds the person to the appointment record. That gives the operator a better question to answer: does the driver identity result match the appointment for the load that is moving now?

    Each check-in creates a record tied to the appointment: which carrier arrived, which driver was checked, which truck and trailer were captured, which load and BOL were involved, and when the event happened.

    That linked record gives operations teams useful context for claims, audits, and insurance conversations after the fact. It also gives the operator a clear result to review while the freight is still at the dock.

    What is the difference between carrier verification and driver verification?

    Carrier verification confirms that the company is real through details such as its MC number, USDOT number, authority, and insurance. Driver verification checks the person at the gate. A real carrier record does not confirm that the person who arrived is the driver booked for the load.

    The result is matched against the appointment. If a substitute or swap arrives, the identity result gives the operator a clear record to review against the appointment and decide what to do.

    What happens when a result comes back unverified?

    Dock Optimizer surfaces the result to your team. The operator decides whether to contact the carrier, update the appointment, hold the conversation, or release the load. The system does not make that decision automatically.

    Do I need a separate contract with Intellicheck?
