When each platform is a better fit
Dock Optimizer is the better fit when:
- You want to start free and scale up without per-facility fees
- You need yard management included, not as a paid add-on
- Driver ID verification at the dock is a requirement
- You need a load board + TMS layer on top of scheduling
- WMS integration (SphereWMS, etc.) is required natively
Opendock may be the better fit when:
- You need immediate access to an established carrier marketplace network
- Your enterprise procurement requires a platform with longer market history
- You have existing Opendock integrations that would be costly to re-implement
